David elected one more year to board.
Accomplishments for 2019-2020, paving/tree limbs/HOA sign on front columns/Covenants and Bylaws updated.
Reviewed financials which will be sent in another email along with accountants statement for 2019 taxes. One quick correction. The paving on financials was
46,025.00 instead of 22,350.00, only 8000 of that has been paid. We are waiting for our CD’s to mature to pay the rest.
Tom and Melinda Hall have sold their house and there last day is this Thursday, please stop by and say goodbye, they were and are great people.
Moving in will be John Welcome and Merritt Fulger and their children.
Tom Carpenter has bought Dr Wilson’s house and has begun renovations.
Todd Bell provided an excellent presentation on preserving lake james and the watershed area beginning in avery burke and mcdowell counties,
Dues will be going up to 400.00 dollars a calendar year. If you pay your 2021 due before Jan 1st you only need to pay 390.00. A late fee will begin of 25 dollars a month starting April 1st 2021.
Marion Baker won the raffle for free dues and is donating for LJEA. She is a great woman.
Our biggest problems are the wells , We have 5 wells , Dave was removing a bad one today..2 other wells have poor water source, meaning we will probably need to dig another well. We will also be looking at a water tank which may be as much as
500,000.00 abd we will also be meeting with the county and city to start talks on getting city water out here maybe in our grandchildren’s lifetime.
